Fall 2022 will be an exciting time for all anime lovers around the world, as another anime has added its name to the impending roster. The football-based series Blue Lock has revealed the release date for the anime television series, as well as a new key visual and the main trailer.
On Friday, the official Blue Lock Twitter account shared a stunning new key visual for the upcoming anime series. The core cast, which includes Isagi, Kunigami, Chigiri, Bachira, and Ego, is featured in the key visual. A trailer for the Blue Lock anime has also been published. Blue Lock’s anime television series is set to premiere in October 2022. The series’ animation will be handled by Studio 8bit (who previously produced the Slime anime). Meanwhile, Tetsuaki Watanabe will direct the series, and Taku Kishimoto (who also worked on Haikyu!!) will work as the series scriptwriter.
In terms of the Blue Lock voice acting cast, new voices from the Japanese industry will join the cast. Kazuki Ura will provide the voice of the main character, Isagi Yoichi. Tasuku Kaito (Meguru Bachira), Yki Ono (Rensuke Kunigami), and Sma Sait are also members (Hyoma Chigiri).

Blue Lock is a sports manga series written and illustrated by Muneyuki Kaneshiro. The anime is about a teenager named Isagi Yoichi who aspires to be the best striker in the Japanese national team.
One day, a secret football project named “Blue Lock” asks Isagi and 299 other strikers from all over Japan to vote on who is the best striker in the world. To realise his dream of being a member of Japan’s World Cup football team, Isagi works with these inexperienced strikers to reach the peak of his favourite sport.
