Hikari No Ou Anime’s official Twitter account announced the series’ launch date. The first full promotional video has also been released. Other details, such as the cast members, were revealed in October. A teaser for the show has also been posted. The series will debut on the WOWOW premium satellite network.
Hikari No Ou Anime: Plot & Staff Details
The anime’s plot centres around a world teeming with dark forests. The inhabitants of this post-apocalyptic world have been infected with a disease that causes their bodies to burn anytime they are in the presence of a natural fire. Among the survivors of humanity’s final war, there are also stories of a Firecatcher Lord. Touko, a country girl, is one of the two primary protagonists. There’s also Koushi, a former student from a major city. The major characters should not meet, but their meeting changes the course of the world. Hikari No Ou Anime will be directed by Junji Nishimura.
Mamoru Oshii will also produce and write the series. A total of 16 cast members have also been revealed. The soundtrack will be composed by Kenji Kawai. Takuya Saito will be in charge of character design. Touko, the main character, will be voiced by Misaki Kuno. The character of Koshi will be played by Shoya Ishige.
