One Punch Man season 3 is currently in production, according to the anime adaptation’s official website. Yusuke Murata, the creator of One Punch Man, previously tweeted that a big announcement will be made on August 18. A new teaser visual was also revealed by Osamu Kubota, who was in charge of character design for the first and second seasons.

The biggest news for the One Punch Man community came this morning via the franchise’s official Twitter account. After a three-year wait, the makers have revealed that One Punch Man Season 3 is in the process. Additionally, the producers hinted at a major change in the anime television series’ animation studio.

On Thursday, the production team behind the popular action-comedy series One Punch Man announced plans for a third season of the anime series. Furthermore, the creators provided an important update on the One Punch Man Season 3 studio shift. To summarise, J.C. Staff will no longer be in charge of animation production, and they will be replaced by a new studio.

Which Studio Working On One Punch Man Season 3?

J.C. Staff will not develop One Punch Man Season 3 at this time. However, the new studio’s name has yet to be confirmed. Furthermore, no information on the staff has been revealed, but it is expected to change as a result of the studio shift. The cast will be the same as it was in the previous two seasons. The makers haven’t yet given a tentative release date, but will do so soon!

The first season of One Punch Man was released in 2015 and was an instant success. Studio Madhouse produced the series. However, there was a studio shift for the second season, and J.C Staff took over the animation production. Unfortunately, it did not perform well due to poor animation quality, and many devoted fans were disappointed.

The One Punch Man manga series is based on Yusuke Murata’s manga. The manga’s source material is the web novel created by ONE. The web novel series is much ahead of the manga series, however the anime is based on the manga series, and the manga lacked sufficient source material for season 3. There is more than enough source material for season 3 now that the Garou Arc has officially ended.

Crunchyroll describes the anime series as follows:

Saitama started out being a hero just for fun. After three years of “special” training, he became so powerful that he can defeat opponents with a single punch. Now, alongside Genos, his faithful cyborg disciple, Saitama is ready to begin his official duties as a professional hero working with the Hero Association. However, the frequency of monster appearances is surging and it increasingly appears as if the Great Seer Madame Shibabawa’s prediction about the Earth’s doom is coming true. In the midst of this crisis, the “hero hunter” Garou makes his own appearance.
