On Thursday, the official Twitter account for Doufu Mayoi and Kurogin’s Black Summoner (Kuro no Shkanshi) light novel series revealed that the anime will premiere on Tokyo MX on July 9 at 10:00 p.m. JST.

Yoshimasa Hiraike (Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku, Sketchbook full color’S, AKB0048) is directing the anime and overseeing the series scripts at Satelight. The characters are being designed for animation by Miwa Oshima (Ao-chan Can’t Study!, My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!). Satoshi Motoyama is the sound director, while the music is composed by MICHIRU and Yuri Miyazono.
In October 2014, Mayoi began serializing the original story on the Shsetsuka ni Nar website, where it is still ongoing. In January 2018, Gin Ammo debuted the manga adaptations of the novels on Overlap’s Comic Gardo website.
