The Story Of Love Live! Superstar!!
Yuigaoka Girls’ High School, a new academy established in the intersection of Omotesando, Harajuku, and Aoyama, has welcomed its first pupils. This school is starting from zero, with no history, no upperclassmen to rely on, and no name to speak of!
During this time, a group of five girls lead by Kanon Shibuya discover “school idols.”
I enjoy singing! I truly believe it! And I want to do something with it!
As a result, the hopes of these young stars begin to mount…
So begins the “School Idol Project,” a group of five females with a clean slate and limitless potential.
Sunrise’s collaborative pseudonym, Hajime Yatate, was credited once more for original work. Sakurako Kimino was also given credit for the original concept, as she had been in earlier Love Live! anime. Takahiko Kygoku, the director of the original Love Live! School idol project and accompanying film, returned to direct alongside Love Live! Sunshine!! writer Jukki Hanada. Atsushi Sait (Black Fox) modified the original character designs of franchise character designer Yhei Murota. Yoshiaki Fujisawa, who composed the music for the first Love Live! series, also returned.
The tagline for the anime production is “Watashi o Kanaeru Monogatari — Hello!!! Love Live!” (This is the story of how my aspirations came true.) Hello!!! I adore you!”). This is a play on the franchise’s earlier slogan, “Minna de Kanaeru Monogatari,” which refers to the fact that the names, centre performers, song lyrics, and other parts of the school idol group are determined by fan voting.
