The official Record of Ragnarok Twitter account has confirmed that the second season will be released in 2023. The new season of Record of Ragnarok will be available exclusively on Netflix. A new key image has been released to honour the release date announcement.
The teaser image for the second season displays new characters from the anime series. Reifuku, Lord Buddha, Heracles, Jack the Ripper, Lord Shiva, and Raiden Tameemon are on the left, and Brynhildr, Lord Shiva, and Raiden Tameemon are on the right. According to the official website, information on the second season as well as a possible trailer release are planned at the Anime Expo in July 2022.

The series depicts a battle between humans and gods. The god’s council meets every 1000 years to decide whether humanity should live or die. The gods eventually decided to wipe off humanity after 7 million years of existence. Brunhilde, a Valkyrie, urged that mankind be given one last chance to prove their value. It was determined that a tournament would be organised in which 13 gods would compete against the 13 strongest people in human history, with the conclusion determining whether humanity would live or die.
The first season of Record of Ragnarok was released on Netflix in June 2021. Graphinica is the studio responsible for the series’ creation. The second season will almost certainly be animated by the same company.
