The iconic 90s anime series Trigun is set to return next year after the franchise chose to revive the series. After 25 years since the first anime television series was broadcast, Yasuhiro Nightow’s legendary action series Trigun will be reborn in a brand new Trigun anime named Trigun Stampede in 2023 from Studio Orange (Beastars, Land of the Lustrous).
On Friday, Orange, a Japanese animation studio specializing in 3DCG animation, announced that Vash the Stampede will return next year in a fresh new Trigun anime series named “Trigun Stampede.” Studio Orange will develop the new sequel, which will be an original anime series. Details about the plot of this new Trigun anime are still being kept under wraps, but additional information about the return of the man with the $60 Billion Double Dollar bounty on his head is expected during this year’s Anime Expo.
More information about Trigun Stampede will be revealed at the series panel at Anime Expo 2022, which will be attended by series creator Yasuhiro Nightow, Kouji Tajima (designer), Kiyotaka Waki (producer at Orange), Yoshihiro Watanabe (producer at Orange), and Katsuhiro Takei (producer at Toho). The event will take place on July 3rd as part of “Orange Presents: Studio Panel” to promote Vash the Stampede’s long-awaited return.
